Meet Dr. Samar Alhashimi, BDS, DDSW, MsD
Dr. Samar Alhashimi earned her Bachelor of Dental surgery degree from the University of Baghdad. Dr. Alhashimi worked as a general dentist for 5 years and continued practicing, learning, researching, and skill-improving in multiple countries (Iraq, Jordan, and Dubai) until relocating to the United States.
She attended the externship program in the Advanced Specialty program in Prosthodontics at Loma Linda University in California and completed the Advanced Specialty program in Endodontics at the University of Loma Linda School of Dentistry in California where she received her Master’s Degree in Endodontics. Her research topic was titled “Effect of Omega-3 on dentinal tissues reformation following direct pulp capping with MTA, histological and micro-computed tomographic analysis in a rat model”.
Dr. Alhashimi serves as a clinical assistant professor at the department of Endodontics at UT Houston School of dentistry. She is a Member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, and the Greater Houston Dental Society. Her research interests include Root Morphology and Bio Ceramic Materials. Dr. Alhashimi’s most interest is to use all her knowledge and skills to relieve her patient’s pain. That is her best reward.
Dr. Alhashimi is happily married with 4 beautiful children; they enjoy traveling, hiking, playing sports, and taking care of their animals.
